Responsible for NGS

Dreamgenics opens a selection process to incorporate to its team a NGS Manager, who will be in charge of leading and managing the daily work of massive sequencing in our laboratory. The candidate must be a responsible, flexible, organized person with the ability to lead teams and be offered a full-time permanent position in a biotechnology company highly specialized in the genomic medicine market and with a young staff formed by a multidisciplinary team of professionals.


The functions to be performed in the position of NGS Manager are:

  • Coordinate the laboratory technical team.
  • Plan and manage library preparation and mass sequencing services.
  • Plan and manage Sanger sequencing services, qPCR, etc.
  • To develop new services based on emerging technologies.
  • Maintenance of the equipment used in the laboratory.
  • Drafting of Quality protocols according to ISO 9001 and ISO 15189 standards.
  • Coordinate the laboratory activity with the bioinformatics and genetic diagnostics departments.
  • Report activity to the Technical Director.


PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc. A Master's degree in genetics and/or bioinformatics would be an asset.


  • At least 3 years experience in manual preparation of Illumina or MGI libraries.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Sanger sequencing, qPCR, etc.

Experience in the use of automated library preparation equipment is an asset.


  • High knowledge in genomics and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies. 
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to identify problems and implement the necessary changes to solve them.
  • Experience working under the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 15189 standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office™.
  • English level B2 or higher.


  • Knowledge of bioinformatics.
  • Tendering experience.
