The magazine IMMédico dedicates this month's issue to neurology and associated diseases affecting the brain, spinal cord and nerves.
There are currently more than 600 known neurological diseases affecting more than 7 million people in our country, being the first cause of disability and the second cause of mortality in the world.
Some of these diseases are congenital and are due to genetic alterations at birth and others begin in adulthood, the most frequent being those associated with aging processes.
