We welcome Dr. Fernando Ayuga Loro, neurologist at the University Hospital of Toledo and Coordinator of the Neurology Team at Quirónsalud Toledo Hospital, as medical advisor to Dreamgenics. With this collaboration we underline our commitment to the genetic diagnosis of all hereditary diseases and, in particular, neurological diseases.
Dr. Ayuga has a degree in Medicine from the University of Seville and a PhD Cum Laude from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM). He holds a Superior Diploma in Acute Epilepsy and a Master's Degree in Epilepsy from the University of Murcia. He has completed training stays at the Walton Centre of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool and at Kings College Hospital in London.
Dr. Leyre Larzabal, head of Clinical Genetics, underlines the importance of this collaboration: "Dr. Ayuga's expertise in areas such as epilepsy, movement disorders and neuromuscular pathology will be of great help to us in improving our diagnostic service, enhancing our understanding of the patients' clinic and the implication of the identified genetic variants."
